Fj cruiser auto vs manual transmission

I think it's cool that the manual Fjs have all time 4wd as opposed to us autos in 2wd on the road most of the time but I think having a manual Fj would be more challenging on stop and go uphill inclines but fun going downhill and downshifting around corners.  · FJ Cruiser. Gas mileage isn't the best, but it's a heavy vehicle that isnt great on fuel economy anyway. I think the transfer case that allows part-time is the best.

Between the 4Runner and the FJ, only the latter is available with manual transmission. Being able to drive “stick” is an invigorating and useful skill. While you can get on just fine overlanding with an automatic transmission, using a manual transmission can be more exhilarating and is less likely to overheat than its automatic counterpart.
